Today is the left edge; the colored tick in each lane is that job's install deadline. Jobs without a deposit wait in the tray as ghosts and never consume crew hours, so they cannot push a committed job later. Their own quoted dates CAN move though: a quote is fitted into the days committed work leaves free, so reordering committed jobs can change what a quote would ship.
